December 1, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

Today is Giving Tuesday, a day and a movement centered on global generosity. Every year it inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Colorado State University is proud to participate again in 2020, for the seventh year in a row.

Each year at this time, thousands of Rams respond to the call and support Rams Against Hunger, a program that provides nutritious meals to CSU students struggling with food insecurity. This year, the need is especially acute, exacerbated by the continuing pandemic.

Our students are the heart of our university community and supporting Rams Against Hunger is a real, concrete way to demonstrate our commitment to them. These programs demonstrate how Rams truly take care of Rams, making a real and significant difference in the lives of those in need. Every Giving Tuesday gift to Rams Against Hunger will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000 through the generosity of an anonymous donor–and an additional $25,000 to Rams Against Hunger will be unlocked once 1,000 donors have participated.

We also are suggesting donations to Ram Aid and the On-Campus Student Retention Fund, through Housing and Dining, to support all students facing emergency financial hardship in these difficult times.

Please join me in supporting the CSU students who will build our future. I hope as many of you who can give will give. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Warmly,
Joyce
