July 31, 2020

Dear CSU Colleagues,

I open this note with gratitude: Thank you to all those on our staff and faculty who helped us share updates on our Fall 2020 COVID precaution planning last week, via several email updates and two Town Hall sessions. Thank you also to everyone who engaged with all this important information, by reading my email updates and/or attending a Town Hall.

I know that questions remain, especially around the recent updates from our local school systems. I hope you all know that we will address them, as quickly, effectively, and thoughtfully as we can. But some of our fall plans and priorities do depend on knowing more from all of you, our faculty, staff, and student employees.

To this end, we have developed a Return-to-Workplace Survey that I urge you all to take just a few minutes to complete as soon as possible. You can complete the survey here. As you’ll see in going through the survey, your feedback on how you are feeling about the fall will be used to make specific, responsive decisions to help you all feel comfortable and excited about the coming semester, whatever your work environment.

Again, please go here to complete the survey. Your responses will be 100% confidential. Aggregated unit-specific data may be shared with unit leaders (e.g. Department Chairs, Directors, VPs) to help them address concerns that rise to the top for their employees, and both HR and OEO will work with supervisors at all levels to address employees concerns with flexibility, compassion, and equity in mind.

Once again, to all of you, we want to hear from you. Please go here to complete our short Return-to-Workplace survey. And thank you, in advance, for doing so.

Have a wonderful week, everyone.

Warmly,
Joyce
