Dear CSU Employees,

I just sent a message to our students, urging all of them to please keep up their commitment to the consistent practice of COVID public health precautions throughout the long Labor Day weekend.

I know that all of you will do that, and so what I want to share with all of you is simply this: please take some downtime this weekend.

You have all been working so hard and I know you will continue to go above and beyond throughout this semester. Moreover, we are all dealing with our own challenges this Fall: home-schooling children; caring for family members; grappling with health issues; navigating professional obstacles. You deserve a break and I hope you take one. Get outside and go for a hike, or just find a beautiful spot outdoors to sit and read. Sleep in, call your family, catch up with friends on social media. Get in some exercise, binge watch a favorite show, savor a delicious meal. And of course, spend time with friends here in Fort Collins in small groups following all the precautions you know so well.

We will get through these challenges, thanks to all of you.  Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Warmly,

Joyce
