June 23, 2020

Happy Tuesday, everyone,

I am very pleased to invite all of you to join me, Provost and Executive Vice President Rick Miranda, and Vice President for University Operations Lynn Johnson for a virtual Town Hall focused on our FY21 budget priorities, constraints, decisions, and impacts on each of you. Marc Barker, Director of our Adult Learner and Veteran Services Center and Co-Chair of the CSU Pandemic Preparedness Team, will moderate these events.

We will have two sessions as follows:

  • Friday, June 26, 2020, 9-10 a.m., Budget Town Hall
  • Monday, June 29, 2020, 11 am-12 p.m., Budget Town Hall

The sessions will be identical in terms of our presentation; the only difference will be the live question-and-answer portion. So please, just put whichever session works for you on your calendar.

I know that one of these falls on a “no-meeting Friday.” Unfortunately, this was one of the only dates we could find for this event on many calendars; but if you’ve been adhering to “no-meeting Fridays” for yourself and finding it rewarding, then just join us for the Monday session.

These Town Halls will be open to any member of the CSU community: students, faculty, and staff.  We look forward to answering your questions live, but also welcome questions submitted in advance: here for June 26 and here for June 29. Please do note that depending on how many members of our community join us for these sessions, we will not be able to address every question asked.

Again, the links to the sessions will be available on the Recovery Planning Town Halls page, as will links to the recordings of both sessions once they are over.

I look forward to talking to all of you about our budget and the ways that our strategic decisions about our budget help us achieve our shared goals, even in challenging times.

Warmly,

Joyce
